My daughter has Tay Sachs disease (a genetic disease which can't be cured and is eventually fatal). She's beautiful and started out normal like any other child but then began showing symptoms. She's over four now and is a very sweet child but experiences a lot of involuntary movements and is now unable to walk properly and can't control her bodily functions at all. She's lost a lot of weight and awareness too. I have another daughter who's normal, and I didn't know my partner and I both carried the gene for the disease until after I had her, she was diagnosed when I started noticing her unusual behaviors/symptoms. I'm pregnant again though this pregnancy was not exactly planned for, I got pregnant while on birth control. And basically I'm afraid this baby will be born with Tay Sachs. I was wondering if you were pregnant and you and your partner were carries for a serious genetic disease would you want to find out if your baby had the disease during your pregnancy? What would you do? What does your religion teach about prenatal testing? (I'm not really a religious person, I'm just wondering)

It seems like I am always tired. Why?

I take a multi vitamin and E vitamin every day. Breakfast usually consists of a gl of OJ, a banana , and a granola bar or cereal. Lunch is usually some fruit, a salad, and a sandwich or equivelant. Dinner usually includes a salad, a starch, meat, and another vegetable. I ride my bike 4 miles a day 5 days a week, I sleep 7-8 hours a night. I drink at least 4 bottles of water a day. I just cant figure out why I am tired all the time.

Why expand the NCAA tournament?

Here's my take on the proposition to expand the 65-team tournament to 96. Basically, except for the Ivy League, the conference tournaments give every team access to an NCAA bid so Va. Tech and Miss. St. need to quit whining because they had an opportunity to win their conference tournament and get a bid, but failed. The ONLY upside to expansion is money, and I'm sure all of the University Presidents are really hurting in that department, uh hum. Anyways, the system as it is now is virtually perfect. Every conference (except the Ivy League for some unknown reason) gives its teams an opportunity to get the automatic bid so if you think about it, the NCAA tournament, for all intents and purposes includes every Division I team already. My boyfriend is 4 inches shorter than I am?

Well, my boyfriend of two years is 4 inches shorter than I am. When we are alone, I think absolutely nothing of it and think only of how much I love him. When you say till death do us part, it does not elaborate on what kind of death. I have seen couples stay together being literal shadows of their former selves. In my opinion, this is a kind of death. People lose all sense of who they are and what they want when in a bad marriage. Staying together for children is never a good idea. I know this first hand. My parents had a terrible marriage and there was some pretty bad fighting all through childhood. It does damage. So which is the lesser of two evils? Just my opinion. I have had my cold about two weeks. I have a really bad cough. I don't smoke, I'm super healthy, workout the whole nine yards. I have never had my side hurt like this. I coughed and felt a pop and sever pain came and has not left. Yesterday was pain and today is the same pain with maybe a gas pain too. I'm holding back my coughs because it's pretty painful. I am the oldest daughter of the disabled mom in question. I was born as a normal child and raised to be a very smart person, by my grandparents despite the fact my mom has cerebral palsy. She has the intellect of a 6 year old and she can do her adl's but cannot function with IADL's. Now I am in my 20's and now I have 8 year old twin brothers. They are become quite troublesome, stealing and taking advantage of my mom. The father isnt around, he has CP also. How can they be raised in an environment where it is safe and nurturing. Despite my mom is and overall good mom despite her condition, she cannot raise them alone because of her disablity. My grandmother is getting old and there is only so much she can do before she is extremely tired, yet refuses to get any outside help because everything is under control as she put it. But I am worried about my brothers as they get older. They have no male role model influence except my uncle who comes around once a month. They are involved in sports, but thats it. They are being raised as if they are women. What can we do about this

I have one week to decide if I want to pay the money to go to school to become a dealer or try something else. I live a good 50 miles from Biloxi, I have a scooter so the drive won't be a big expense but school will. I have the craps skill as I dealt craps for a company that hired out dealers to do casino games for parties. The schools is going to teach me blackjack, mini bacarrat and three card poker. I would learn poker if I believed I could first make it easier to be hired and second make good enough money to be worth the expense.
