Why expand the NCAA tournament?

Here's my take on the proposition to expand the 65-team tournament to 96. Basically, except for the Ivy League, the conference tournaments give every team access to an NCAA bid so Va. Tech and Miss. St. need to quit whining because they had an opportunity to win their conference tournament and get a bid, but failed. The ONLY upside to expansion is money, and I'm sure all of the University Presidents are really hurting in that department, uh hum. Anyways, the system as it is now is virtually perfect. Every conference (except the Ivy League for some unknown reason) gives its teams an opportunity to get the automatic bid so if you think about it, the NCAA tournament, for all intents and purposes includes every Division I team already. Any thoughts?
